Further Information

Ash Sakula Architects have built a creative cluster in Leicester, transforming a derelict building, an old bus depot, into a centre for artists and creative businesses.

The depot is a £4.75m project t which has kick-started the regeneration of the St George’s area of the city as a new cultural quarter. It accommodates fifty-seven studios and workplaces, in both the old bus depot itself and in a separate new building. Facilities include a café, a gallery and conference areas, and an open air courtyard art and performance space.

The Depot was completed in July 2004 and has since become an important cultural and business focus in Leicester.
