Shape helps people to make better places in the East of England. To do this we offer an expert Design Review service, run design support training and tours for local authorities and lead a public engagement programme for communities and young people. Our central aim is to provide a positive influence on the quality of urban design and the built environment through supporting the professional community, engaging the public and educating the future generations.

As well as our core team of staff and associate artists, Shape East lead the East of England Design Review Panel, chaired by Bob Allies, co-founder of Allies & Morrison, a leading national architectural and masterplanning practice with 30 RIBA awards. Other members include Keith Bradley of Feilden Clegg Bradley studios, winners of the only Stirling Prize awarded to a housing scheme.

The East of England Design Review Service is part of a nationwide network of eight independent Design Review Panels. We work together to provide consistent high quality design advice across England.
